Becoming a tour guide was inspired by of frequent visits to ancient sites like Avebury and Uffington White Horse as a child.
They connected me to the stories of the Dragons, Druids, Legends of Arthur and the history of Alfred the great and much more.
They put me on path to learn about the myths, mysteries, and histories that are found in these and many other significant sites to be found on these lands.
Today, I find myself wanting to share what I learned and experienced, as I feel this knowledge is both relevant and pertinent today.
Dragon Lore Tours
The Hill right next to Uffington White Horse is called Dragon Hill. Two major ley lines are said to pass through this area; perhaps that was the reason why I wanted to visit that place so frequently growing up.
Some years later while living in London, I was intrigued to find the dragon again: this time as the symbol of the City of London! The Dragon features on the City’s coat of arms and can be found adorning the architecture. This ancient and influential city adopted the dragon in the medieval age as its emblem – but there is no official history as to precisely when or why.
The story of the dragon is far more ancient than that of St George: it is rooted in a mythology that harks back to the beginning of time. My first tour, the London: City of Dragons tour finds a common theme between all these elements and more while also sharing how the story of the dragon relates to each and every one of us.
